The Business Development Manager position will focus on new business growth for our core pulp product line. This is a high profile position within our sales organization, with that, we seek a strong seller with applicable industry experience.  Our product portfolio is robust and have just launched an exciting marketing campaign around it.  The majority of this person's time will be spent developing & growing new business, as we have a strong technical team in place locally to support servicing the customer.  This is an excellent opportunity with tremendous upside! 


  • Bachelor's Degree required; BS in Engineering or in a Life Science is preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience with strong Pulp Mill knowledge base, pulp operations experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions, balancing customer’s needs and company objectives.
  • Strong competency in value selling, using ROI financial metrics to achieve customer goals.
  • Ability to build customer relationships quickly; versatile across different styles
  • Ability to influence others through direct and indirect methods.
  • Sensitive to new business opportunities and creative approaches to gain.
  • Business acumen and negotiating skills required for Sr. level customer interface
  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of people in the organization.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
