Description

As a Delivery Specialist you will be responsible for making deliveries to our customers providing them with a “white glove service”.  Drive a box truck, up to 28 feet in length making multiple deliveries.  Unload 55 gallon drums of product and move them to designated areas on the customer’s premises.  Transfer/pump the product from the drum into the customer’s holding tank and remove the empty drum.  In your role as a Delivery Specialists you will work independently but must maintain close communications with the Commercial and Supply Chain teams.

OVERNIGHT Travel Mon-Friday 

  • Safety - responsible for performing your duties while complying with our safety and environmental requirements.
  • Drive a box truck making multiple stops at customer locations.
  • Load and unload drums of chemicals on and off of the truck.
  • Pump chemicals into customer holding tanks.
  • Inspect customer’s tank and equipment. Replace pump hoses if needed and report any equipment issues.
  • You will be responsible for on-time deliveries to achieve On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery goal of 98%.
  • Work with Logistics Supervisor, Master Scheduler and Planning Analyst on establishing the inventory requirements for the delivery program. Work closely with the Planning Analyst to minimize non-productive (red zone) inventory.
  • Follow all DOT compliance requirements.
  • Maintain paperwork as required by Federal, State and local authorities
  • Electronic Log entry and maintenance
  • File Expense Reports
  • Fuel Reporting (If required)
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections of your equipment.
  • Adhere to preventive maintenance schedule for truck.
  • Monitor truck and equipment for any issues or repairs needed before scheduled maintenance
  • Work with vendors and ARI (or other Fleet Management Provider as required by Solenis)

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years safe driving experience of CDL vehicles.

  • No moving violations in the last 2 years

  • Microsoft Office, SAP and Lotus Notes experience a plus

  • Must have a valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsements.  Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and physical. 

  • Must have hazmat exp #LI-EN1
