The Pricing Business Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and managing the relationship between the commercial teams and Pricing team/IT related to the PriceFX platform as well other pricing organization tools and applications.  This includes assisting in the prioritization of projects, ensuring projects align with technology that delivers the maximum return on investment (ROI), and directing IT strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy. He/she contributes to and manages projects from initiation to implementation. Responsible for functional and technical blue-print creation and proper hand off to offshore technical teams.  At times, hands on technical configuration required.  Ensures proper delivery of requirements and on time project delivery.  Requires strong analytical skills, business analysis skills, excellent customer service skills.   Works indenpendently in a fast paced environment to achieve goals within required timeframes. 


Key Role Responsibilities:


Business Partnership, Processes  & Data :

  • Build and leverage relationships with management, key pricing team stakeholders and external teams. Review demand, projects, tasks and deliverables frequently and change priorities or scope in coordination with ever-changing business needs.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the new pricing operating model elements, such as pricing process, business rules, performance and behavioral metrics, approval authority tables,  through PriceFX pricing software
  • Ensures the business understands the technology solutions related to pricing, overall solution delivery, opportunites for enhancemencts and compliance to governance processes, architecture standards, etc.
  • Partner with the business to maintain, track, enhance, optimize and improve technology experiences.
  • Proactively search out and identify new opportunities to innovate, streamline, and optimize the pricing processes with the goal of digital trasformtion, ease of use, and real-time data availability and delivery on any device to make effective real-time decisions.
  • Influence the business to change where necessary and appropriate.
  • Create, maintain and enforce data integrity standards by completing bulk import and exports, regularly performing database de-dup and cleanup procedures.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through clear, concise and professional presentations and communications.

Project Management:

  • Ensures successful and timely execution of PriceFX software implementaion, rollout and support model
  • Develops and executes other technology strategies/projects that provide a competitive edge for the business unit and delivers the maximum ROI.
  • Assists business unit leaders (Global & Regional ) in prioritizing pricing related IT projects and prepares the cost-benefit analysis for those projects.
  • Provide senior leadership with regular project status & reporting.
  • Manages IT projects through the project management cycle in cross functional teams
  • Contributes to the IT annual budgeting and planning process. Controls and tracks IT expenditures against the budget.

Training & User experience:

  • Develops and educates the business community on PriceFX software and any other pricing related IT tools
  • Prepare and perform customer training, procedural manuals, job aids, & work flow curriculums.
  • Work with the business to identify and deliver best practices and tips on application usage
  • Produce and improve overall documentation related to new functionality or significant enhancements to existing functionality.

Application maintenance / enhancement:

  • Co-manages and interacts with the resolver teams, responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading systems and applications in support of business operations. (including coorperation with the CRM, SAP & webmethods team)
  • Collaborates with the other BRMs to identify, establish and standardize, where applicable, technology applications.
  • Work with vendor support and other external third party support teams to resolve user issues.
  • Responsible for configuration, customization & enhancements oversight. Functional and technical blue-printing and proper hand-off to technical offshore teams for actual implemenation. At times, hands on technical configuration required Security support and oversight of the applications.
  • Manages the off-shore support team for quick incident resolution and ontime delivery of projects and enhancements.



  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or Chemical Engineering necessary.
  • 6+ years of relevant business process management and project management experience required.
  • Fast learner with a strong aptitude to learn new software tools and pricing concepts required
  • Experience in leading non-enterprise software implementations and support is preferred
  • Leadership Capabilities: Must have proven capability in the following - Team Builder, People Developer, Planning & Execution Facilitator, Relationship Builder, and Business Expert.
