Description

This is a position for an individual with strong customer focus & service skills who has the desire to bring value and continuous improvement to existing customers.  The desired candidate for this position is a self motivating individual with a desire for both servicing and sales within the pulp and paper market space.  This individual will need to work closely with and compliment a strong selling team to support and grow with key customers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Focus on safety initiatives at the customer sites to improve overall working conditions;
  • Development of strong business relationships with the customer;
  • Review treatment programs and processes at customer accounts, ensuring effective applications through routine testing, monitoring, & data analysis with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction and business retention;
  • Responsible for vendor-managed inventory programs – maintain accurate inventory counts, work with the customer to forecast future needs, facilitate product re-ordering, interface with the Logistics Team to ensure on-time delivery of products;
  • Responsible for equipment monitoring & maintenance;
  • Compiles routine service reports and trial data at the customer site;
  • Works through various sales cycles to discover & identify new customer needs, developing a plan to address these needs, and implementing/following through on any trials;
  • Strives to develop mastery-level knowledge of the customer’s process/needs & identifies how Solenis can bring ever-increasing value to the customer;
  • Lead the identification & implement of continuous improvement projects;
  • Provide service support to the broader Solenis team within western Canada (trial support, customer audits, etc)

Qualifications

  • Engineering, chemistry, pulp & paper science, or a polytechnic institute (BCIT, NAIT, SAIT, etc)
  • Engineering Technology diploma preferred
