Description

The Platform Launch Manager will guide significant NPI projects from validation through commercialization. The PLM will initially partner with the applications leads for product validation in order to participate in the process of setting application guardrails for the technology being launched which will then be used to establish a prospective customer type. The PLM will then establish and lead a launch team including voices from research, sales, regional marketing, and operations to create and execute a plan to bring the new technology from validation into commercialization as efficiently as possible.

 

Job Description

The Platform Launch Manager is regionally based in North America.  The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding significant NPI projects from validation through commercialization.  The PLM will initially partner with the applications leads for product validation in order to participate in the process of setting application guardrails for the technology being launched which will then be used to establish a prospective customer type. The PLM will then establish and lead a launch team including voices from research, sales, regional marketing, and operations to create and execute a plan to bring the new technology from validation into commercialization as efficiently as possible.  This person has a minimum of 5 year’s industrial experience creating, explaining, and documenting customer ROI.  They have knowledge of unit operations and the ROI streams that impact plant profitability.  The person is capable of understanding the value of marketplace initiatives and managing multiple projects with little management oversight.  This position works cross-functionally with local Solenis teams, applications resources, IT and plant personnel regarding how to use the NPI technology to achieve desired customer ROI.  The PLM must have the skills necessary to communicate that process of ROI generation or our customer’s to our commercial teams leading to successful commercialization of the new technology.  Ultimately, success will be measured through expanding sales and profitability.

 

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, communicate and document the ROI from assigned Solenis NPI initiatives in NA
  • Train local sales team on utilization and implementation of assigned Solenis NPI initiatives
  • Product launch – assist in the planning and launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Develop and lead a cross-functional team to create and execute a launch plan for the assigned NPI initiative leading from validation to commercialization of new technology
  • Participate in identifying and gathering VOC “Voice of Customer” in assigned vertical regarding product utilization and evolution.
  • Project Management – Serve as “point of contact” regarding vetting and installation of new applications in combination with the launch team they lead.
  • Work with regional sales teams regarding implementation strategy with in assigned vertical.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Knowledge of the Pulp and Paper Process and areas that impact plant profitability
  • Ability to work independently to achieve results
  • Ability to interpret customer success criteria
  • Very strong communication and training skills
  • Willing to travel 50%
