Description

This is a position for an individual that has a strong service skills to solidify existing accounts and a desire to bring value and sell to our customers. Strong skillset for microbiological control is preferred. Future opportunities in this area will depend on sales skills and pulp and paper market knowledge.
This individual will need to work closely to compliment a strong selling team to continue to grow at these key customers.
Assists the selling team with daily servicing of customer needs including product inventory/ordering as well as equipment upkeep at the customer sites along with facilitating a weekly cleaning of equipment;
Compiles routine service reports and trial data at the customer site;
Works through various sales cycles to understand uncovering the need, developing a plan to address the need and implementing/following through on any trial;
Alerts the Manager of any problems or opportunities with the customer;
Focus on safety initiatives at the customer sites to improve the overall working conditions.
Major Responsibilities % of Time Spent
Review treatment programs and processes within the territory accounts ensuring effective applications through routine testing and monitoring resulting in customer satisfaction and business retention. 40%
Maintain and build business relationships 20%
Continue to provide Continuous Improvement Documentation to customer 5%
Conduct the necessary site and LMS/class room training programs to understand the overall operations of the territory plants and new customer sites 5%
Sell new business and new applications in your territory – develop and implement sales plans on new opportunities with the direction of the Manager Sales I/II including documenting ROI after the closure of the program. Establish, maintain and prioritize an accurate and current sales funnel in SFDC. 10%
Manage profitability of the account (pump settings, pricing, accounts receivable) 10%
Review territory applications and processes/procedures for safety improvements 10%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in a physical or life science; BS in chemical engineering, pulp & paper science or chemistry preferred
  • 5+ years technical sales experience within the Pulp & Paper industry, or 10+ years in paper operations 
  • 5+ years of "hands on" experience in packaging, pulp, and wet-end chemistry
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated
  • Focus on safety
  • Clean driving record
