The Support Engineer will perform routine testing and monitoring at the customer site including completing service reports.  They will interface with the customer to understand any issues and manage product inventory at the customer site as well as service depots.  The Support Engineer will adjust chemical feed levels to meet optimal chemical performance based on routine testing and monitoring.  They are responsible for alerting the LCT of any problems or opportunities with the customer and begins to troubleshoot issues and conducting expanded testing of process variables to identify dosage improvements or mechanical impacts.  


Other major responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine testing and monitoring of treatment programs
  • Manage inventory at the customer site and/or service depot
  • Compile trial data for analysis and review
  • Deliver chemicals to and within customer site
  • Manages Service Technicians at other customer sites
  • Spec out, set up, maintain and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment


  • 1+ years of paper industry expereince or recent university graduate in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Paper Science or Applied Sciences
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, particularly presentation and technical writing skills
  • Solid computer skills using at least Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a must
  • Understanding of basic chemical applications in a paper mill is preferred
  • Great time manager with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize as needed to meet required deadlines
