Description

As a Support Engineer, you will conduct routine service visits and testing as required to ensure safe and effective pulp & paper treatment programs, generate reports after each service visit and distribute as required Participate in technical training opportunities for advancement of skills and knowledge Look for growth opportunities at existing customers and assist with growth opportunities at prospect accounts as required Ensures customer personnel receive the required training to monitor and apply treatment chemistry used at their facility Assists with technical issues at customer sites, brings any issues to the customers attention and puts together a plan for corrective action – ensures the sales account manager is kept informed

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Successful completion of an internship/Co-Op related to engineering or life science 
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to Pulp & Paper Science, Engineering, or Life Science 
  • 1+ years of experience working in a pulp/paper mill or for a supplier to the paper industry
  • 1+ years of successful technical sales or field sales support experience
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude and skills
  • Manufacturing, lab testing, maintenance and/or electrical experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel)
  • Independent worker
  • Problem solver

  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Strong work ethic
  • Focus on safety
