    Description

    Truck Driver/Chemical Handler will prepare paperwork, load truck, and deliver product to customers within driving hours available based on schedule provided. Truck Driver/Chemical Handler will manage their hours to ensure they are meeting all Federal, State and local requirements in coordination with the lead driver. The Truck Driver/Chemical Handler will work with the lead driver/manager or shipping coordinator to schedule loads to be delivered by Truck Driver/Chemical Handler or tasks assigned when not delivering loads to customers. Weekend work required as needed to service the customer’s needs. Truck Driver/Chemical Handler will be responsible for maintaining truck and trailers with direction from the lead driver and working with the necessary parties to get the work completed timely for all maintenance and repairs or assigned tasks.

     

    Other role responsibilities:

     

    Loading Trailers

    • Delivering loads to customers within driving hours available
    • Preparing, loading and completing all paperwork necessary for shipments

    Documentation

    • Maintaining paperwork as required by Federal, State and local authorities
    • Electronic Log System o Expense Reports o Fuel Reporting (If required) o Monitoring dates relating to Plate renewals, NYHUD decals, licenses
    • As needed

    Preventive Maintenance and Repairs (as needed)

    • Preventive Maintenance for Truck and Trailers
    • Equipment Repairs as required for Truck and Trailers
    • Working with Vendors and ARI (or another Fleet Management Provider as required by Solenis)

    Chemical Handler Functions (as needed)

    • Load Trailers o Package products o Make Blends
    • Load/Off-load Freight trucks o Off-load RM Bulk trucks
    • Complete all necessary paperwork as required for the task

    Trailers (as needed)

    • Moving Trailers within the plant
    • Bring Trailers to/from Tankwash or Service locations

    Qualifications

    • H.S. Diploma / A.S or Certificate Program Preferred
    • 3-5 yrs driving experience including current tanker experience or applicable experience
    • No moving violations in the last 2 years
    • Microsoft Office, SAP and Lotus Notes experience a plus
    • CDL License
    • Hazmat Endorsement
