    Description

    The Area Sales Manager located in the Elko NV. The Area Manager is primarily accountable for leading and driving the performance of a team of associates (including Technicians and Sales Representatives) to achieve new account growth and customer retention. Mining operations background is a plus.

     

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Train, coach and develop sales excellence among the team in order to drive sustainable growth and customer retention.
    • Demonstrated business acumen as an Area Manager
    • Has experience leading sales teams in the water market
    • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including providing career development planning and opportunities for future roles. Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall Solenis organization's beliefs and experiences.
    • Drive team adoption and utilization of both the Solenis Customer Value Added (CVA) sales process and Salesforce.com. Drive a team standard for all associates to establish, maintain and prioritize a current and accurate sales funnel.
    • Review treatment programs and processes within the territory accounts ensuring effective applications through routine testing and monitoring resulting in customer satisfaction and business retention.
    • Maintain and foster business/customer relationships while positioning Solenis for future growth.
    • Conduct the necessary site and LMS/class room training programs to understand the overall operations of the territory plants and new customer sites.
    • Sell new business and new applications in your Area, through the efforts of others.  Develop and implement sales plans on new opportunities including documenting ROI after the closure of the program. 
    • Meet forecast and profitability objectives (new sales, pricing, accounts receivable).
    • Review Area applications and processes/procedures for safety improvements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or other engineering discipline
    • 5-7 years of successful sales experience
    • 3-5 years of proven managerial experience including hiring, development, and talent assessment.
    • Strong Mining Operations background preferred or extensive water treatment experience
    • Industrial water treatment experience with focus on Pulp and Paper Water, HPI - Refining, CPI - Chemical Processing, power, Mining
    • Leadership capabilities include: Drives Performance, People Development, Collaboration, Acts Decisively, Customer Focused
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Good communication skills
    • Strong work ethic
    • Focus on driving and maintaining a culture of safety
    • Clean driving record
    • Ability to travel 20-30%
    • Authorized to work in the United States
