    Description

    The Pricing Analyst will Leverage deep data analytics and data mining skills to deliver insights that will optimize pricing & profitability, enable realization of deal desk and drive margin expansion globally. Reporting to Pricing Analytics managers, the pricing analyst will be responsible and accountable for all quantitative analysis in the areas below:

     

    Pricing and Deal Modeling/Shaping (DEAL DESK)

    • Deploy best–in-class pricing analytics, models and research methods to analyze/test
      • Customer and Product Portfolio segmentation
      • Price leakage
      • Demand elasticity
      • Demand forecasting
      • Price testing
      • Cross-sell recommendations
      • Contract Structures
      • Rebate/Discounting methods

    Product Management and Optimization: Develop quantitative models to

    • Optimize product costs across multiple sites for dynamic asset allocation and supply chain network design for all key products globally
    • Understand manufacturing and logistics costs to serve for key products

    Freight and Contract management and optimization: Develop quantitative models to

    • Optimize freight costs across multiple modes and providers globally
    • Reconcile actual freight expense pass on to customers vs. incurred
    • Identify pricing improvement opportunities where customers are being undercharged for freight costs in delivered pricing

    Analytic Models & Dashboard Optimization

    • Develop, optimize and manage BU analytics models (calculators, P&L models, price models etc.) and create and optimize dashboards for BU and corporate management
    • Perform analysis for monthly reporting of pricing performance for various parts of the global business

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or Chemical Engineering necessary.
    • MS or Certificate courses in analytics preferred.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant quantitative analytics experience.
    • Leadership Capabilities: Must have proven capability in the following - Team Builder, People Developer, Planning & Execution Facilitator, Relationship Builder, and Business Expert.
    • Experience working in a fast paced environment, dealing with conflicting requests, and prioritizing work requests.
    • Deep knowledge of advanced analytics methods and ability to analyze data and provide recommendations
    • Strong knowledge and experience of pricing maintenance within an ERP, SAP preferable
    • Strong remote working capabilities – voice, video and web conferencing, instant messaging and other online collaboration tools
