    Description

    The Global Freight Management Leader role is a global leadership role leveraging expertise in analytics and supply chain to drive the freight management efforts globally within Solenis. The role will work across functions, businesses and regions- from sourcing, supply chain execution to commercial to ensure that Solenis is handling freight in the optimized way and ensuring profitability.

    Key Role Responsibilities

    • Driving all analytics around freight globally in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
    • Implementing and ensuring execution of business rules
    • Developing appropriate customer segmentation. Managing adherence to lead time policies, minimum order quantities and mode utilization.
    • Leading pricing team and business lines to negotiate commercial contracts, optimizing effective freight management strategies.
    • Benchmarking and driving overall freight strategy – timing, suppliers, surcharges and key aspects of freight management. Elevate Solenis to best in class for chemicals freight management. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain logistics or closely related field.
    • 10 + years of progressive leadership experience at both the tactical and strategic level. Strong ability to advise and influence C – level leaders. 
    • Domain expertise in freight management, logistics, manufacturing, chemical industry experience.
