    Description

    The Senior Tax Analyst will support the Director, Tax Planning in furthering the objectives of the Vice President, Tax in crucial functions to include: tax research and planning, due diligence, acquisition structuring, transfer pricing, compliance, and special projects. This position will play a critical role in impacting the ongoing strategic objective of minimizing financial statement and cash tax burdens.

     

    Tax Planning:

    • Assist in the identification and execution of strategies that maximize both P&L and cash tax savings in ongoing business activities while integrating new business initiatives and operations, in various geographies;
    • Assist in the provision of Federal tax law information and interpretations by researching codes, rules and regulations to understand and advise on tax ramifications to the business;
    • Prepare financial analysis along with implementation plans in support of tax reduction strategies;
    • Assist with various US and International tax provision components and return processes;
    • Ensure impacts of current regulations/legislation opposite tax reporting /compliance, accounting, and controversy aspects are appropriately assessed and documented;
    • Provide analysis and support for quarterly and annual financial statements and US and International tax return filings;
    • Assist with special projects, such as global withholding tax planning, cash repatriation planning, merger and acquisition tax issues, ongoing structure maintenance, etc.
    • Assist in managing the relationships with outside tax service providers, ensuring that service providers have all of the pertinent and current information required to provide the most appropriate tax and business advice;
    • Stay current in regard industry developments and technical competencies using internal and external resources and associations;

    Transfer Pricing:

    • Assist in monitoring the transfer pricing process including the preparation and/or review of country-level contemporaneous documentation and benchmarking studies to determine the appropriateness of arms-length results.
    • Model potential intercompany transactions to support determination of tax effective structuring that aligns with business objectives;
    • Monitor and assess transfer pricing results in order to determine necessary true-up adjustments to arrive at appropriate arms-length results;
    • Prepare/update intercompany agreements and documentation as well as maintain intercompany agreement database and tracking.
    • Prepare intercompany allocation calculations (e.g. management fees) and supporting documentation.
    • Assist, as needed, with the valuation of businesses and certain business assets;
    • Assist in monitoring and assessing updates in Transfer Pricing Guidelines to include planning and country-by-country (CbCr) reporting in relation to the OECDs BEPS initiative.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar program
    • 4-6 years of related tax experience in a Big 4 and/or large multi-national corporate tax department
    • CPA license (preferred)
