    Description

    The Benefits Manager, NA is responsible for managing North America benefits at Solenis.  In this role, the incumbent will oversee the day-to-day administration of all NA benefits programs, including, but not limited to: health and welfare, retirement and voluntary benefits.  This position perform a variety of benefits program management activities, including but not limited to; planning and oversight of annual Open Enrollment, Annual Deferred Compensation Plan Open Enrollment and annual statements, and benefit program compliance management and monitoring activities in North America.  Responsibilities include assisting with benefit program design and implementing and communicating programs.  Manages benefit vendors day-to-day activities and partners with third-party vendors to manage the completion of the day-to-day benefits processing tasks. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

     

    Key Role Responsibilities:

    • Performs ongoing benefits management, including but not limited to; leading the management of required benefits audits and government filings, leading the initial development of benefits communications and education initiatives. In addition, this role will represent the benefits COE on cross functional HR operational initiatives.  Leads the implementation of new benefits programs, including collaboration with HRIS, Payroll and other stakeholders as required.  Supports the development of the annual benefits budget.
    • Proactively identifies and implements process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, ensure compliance and support Solenis business.
    • Manages and oversees benefit payments and benefits administration activities to ensure accurate and timely processing.
    • Partners with the Sr. Manager, Global Benefits and broker/consultant in the strategic development and monitoring of benefit plans.
    • Partners with benefits vendors and carriers on an ongoing basis to identify and manage the implementation of benefits management improvement opportunities. Leads and manages complex benefits-related requests/issues to closure such as complex claims appeals, vendor administration issues, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Min 8-10 years related benefits experience
    • Knowledge/experience managing North America benefit programs including; 401(k), Retirement, Health & Welfare and Wellness. Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA and DOL requirements for U.S. benefit plans.
    • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred
