    An R&D Internship with Solenis is an opportunity to experience industrial scale research and development by working closely with highly skilled R&D personnel. It is an opportunity to learn about research and product development in the chemical industry as well as to practice problem solving and project management.  Each intern will be assigned 1 or more important projects to complete that will consist of important elements of our current R&D project portfolio. This allows the intern to fully experience a number of aspects of a R&D career while being mentored by our R&D staff. You will work with an experienced R&D staff member many of whom have Ph. D’s in varied fields of interest.   In addition, the interns are evaluated by Solenis as a potential entry-level new hire for a broad range of positions within the company including R&D, sales, and manufacturing.  An R&D internship with Solenis is a great way to gain valuable experience in the chemical industry, develop real world skills and position you for a rewarding career. 


    Typical projects include: 

    • Researching the composition, production, and performance of Solenis’s specialty chemical products
    • Delivering trial testing for key formulations
    • Optimizing existing products
    • Analyzing and recording data and communicating results.


    • Successful candidates will be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent.
    • The ability to speak English and excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for this position.
    • Ability to work individually and with the team.
    • The candidate must possess excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Candidates should have access to a car they can use during their internship.
    • Commitment to work safely and provide excellent customer service.
    • Prior experience with lab instruments is beneficial.
