    Description

    We currently have an exciting opening for a Service Technician located in the Davenport, Iowa area. They will be responsible for water treatment operations of several large systems at an Aluminum mill. Daily duties will be preforming wet chemistry testing, calibrations of instruments, chemical dosing pump adjustments, maintenance and repair of chemical pumps.

    Responsibilities of this role include:

    • Safety - maintain a safe, injury-free environment through active team participation and promptly addressing any identified safety deficiencies.
    • Testing - collecting samples and performing routine testing to monitor program performance.
    • Equipment - set-up, calibrate, maintain chemical feed and testing equipment.
    • Inventory - conduct chemical inventory audits and order materials as necessary.
    • Documentation - record inventories, testing results and other communications in an effective manner.
    • Customer Service - work with the sales team to address customer concerns.
    • People - training and the continued development of high performance work systems.

    Qualifications

    Desired Experience

    • Have worked in an industrial environment
    • Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel)
    • Repairing small pumps (diaphragm, gear pump, progressive cavity, piston and centrifugal)
    • Plumbing – running plastic piping and tubing or threaded metal fittings

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Eligibility to work within the US
    • Valid driver’s license in good standing
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proven analytical and troubleshooting ability
    • Strong time management skills and a disciplined work behavior 
    • Strong team working skills to meet customer expectations and troubleshoot difficult technical issues
    • Self-motivated with a strong desire for continuous, independent learning
