    This position will be responsible for receiving and staging raw materials as well as loading and transfering products via bulk tankwagons, drum products into IBCs, 55-gallon drums and pails.  They will also perform general warehouse functions and serve as back up to Warehouse 3 Supervisor.

    Other key role responsibilities:

    • Receive raw material tank wagon shipments.  Take samples for Quality Control approval and transfer the shipments from tank wagon to storage tanks or drums.
    • Load stock trailer(s) with finished goods and complete movement ticket(s) for Materials Management.  Report count of finished goods to Plant Supervision and Production Planning.
    • Load tank wagons with chemical products from storage tanks.
    • Locate and stage raw materials necessary for production including stocking of hot houses.
    • Perform weekly storage tank inventories and forward results to Supervision.Assist plant operators with tankwagon unloading and packaging of finished products.
    • Perform necessary forklift operations.
    • Utilize reports to determine raw materials and packaging necessary for scheduled production.
    • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner while observing all safety, environmental and work regulations.
    • Drum finished goods from storage tanks as per the schedule provided.
    • Perform SAP transactions as necessary to receive in raw materials.
    • Maintain daily lising of outbound tankers as well as obtaining t/w release forms  for these loads.

    Additional Duties:

    • Stack, store and load empty drums to be recycled in accordance with the current Plant recycling policy.
    • Perform recirculation of emulsion tanks and cleaning of tank strainers.
    • Print material labels for Plants 1 and 2.
    • Sample materials for Quality Control as required.
    • Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.


    • High School graduate.
    • No previous experience required.  Would take 3-6 months to become knowledgeable of total job.
    • Lift between 50 to 100 lb. bags of raw material 15%-40% of the time and may need to move or maneuver drums weighing up to 500 lbs.
    • Frequent but intermittent, mental/visual attention necessary.  Normal or corrected hearing and vision required.
    • Duties are performed in presence of dirt, oil, hazardous chemicals, chemical odors, noise, and open weather conditions.  Safety shoes, hard hat and safety glasses are required.  Other protective gear is necessary for pumping and sampling operations.
    • Errors could result in contamination of storage tanks, loss of raw materials and shipment of incorrect material to customers, in addition, improper pumping operation could cause damage to equipment.  Errors could also result in illegal shipment if hazardous waste resulting in penalties and/or fines.
