Description

As Talent Management & Development Manager, you are responsible for building capability around the world and building the Solenis culture to be one of high employee engagement and learning.  This position owns the Solenis leadership competencies and professional development training curriculum, the performance management process, talent review, and initiatives related to the Solenis growth culture.  Your role will also be responsible for the below:

Manage and continuously improve the company’s process for identification and development of high-potential talent (talent review) and succession planning. 
Communication preparation of executive reports.
Prepare the system for high potential identification, succession planning, and calibration, and track the actions agreed upon in the session.
Train and prepare job aids, guides, and training materials for Managers and HR Business Partners.
Establish and track metrics for Talent Review effectiveness.
Develop and implement strategies that help Solenis grow the internal pipeline of ready candidates for succession and advancement. 
Manage, expand, and continuously improve the tools used for assessment of leadership potential and capability, and team effectiveness.  Includes selection/management of vendors for tools such as Solenis competencies, 360 feedback, executive coaching, and personality assessments such as DISC, MBTI, KFALP, etc.
Prepare executive reports and conduct debrief sessions with employees to discuss the results and provide guidance on development plans.
Responsible for defining a strategy for developing professional development and leadership capability all levels globally (current and future).
Partner with business leaders and HR colleagues around the world to understand business needs, identify gaps in skills, and propose strategies and solutions to address those. 
Manage, expand, and continuously improve the curriculum of learning and development offerings.  Includes selection/management of vendors, training programs, and other tools. 
Monitor external best practices and identify those that can be implemented or adapted at Solenis.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
7+ years prior experience in Human Resources, talent development or leadership development.
Experience managing succession planning and talent review.
Prior experience as an HR Business partner is preferred.
Experience working globally is preferred.
Knowledge of best practices in talent review and succession planning.
Knowledge of assessments.
Knowledge of adult learning principles.
Direct experience and proficiency with: Share Point, Office (Excel).
Certification in any assessment tool such as DISC, MBTI, Hogan, etc. 
Collaborative, able to partner and build trusting relationships across the board.
Excellent presentation delivery skills and group facilitation skills.
Excellent vendor management skills.
Excellent project management skills.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or relevant experience.

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years prior experience in learning and development
  • Open to being flexible and adaptable, due to the nature of the business
  • Experience working in a team but also autonomous  
  • Experience/understanding in succession planning for this role
  • Experience/understanding in high potential identification, retention and development is required for this role
  • Knowledge of best practices in talent review
  • Knowledge of Assessments
  • Experience of a HRIS – Workday experience is desirable
  • Experience with Microsoft platform – Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable with presenting and to different levels within the organization
  • Project management experience is highly desirable
  • Global Talent Management experience is highly desirable
